Hannah Buda was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Emory University for her undergraduate degree and the University of Georgia for law school. Hannah was on the Editorial Board from 2016-2018 for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. She also was on the Moot Court Team and took place in the Judge. J. Braxton Craven Competition.
Hannah was recognized as a Louis B. Sohn Scholar for academic excellence in international law. She also received the Mclendon Fellow Externship Overseas Scholarship and worked overseas in Phnom Penh in the government sector. Hannah interned for the honorable Linda T. Walker, magistrate judge for the Northern District of Georgia, as well as for the United States Department of Justice in the Civil Division, Federal Programs Branch in Washington, D.C.
As an undergrad, Hannah studied and lived in India in a Tibetan exile community. While there, Hannah noticed that each and every individual she spoke with shared that they felt they had no voice in their justice system. Through these individuals’ experiences, Hannah learned that a strong knowledge of the law could impact individuals’ rights when they are harmed. This is what led Hannah to becoming a lawyer: to use the law to benefit injured individuals.
Hannah has been a partner at Haug Law Group since October of 2018. Hannah loves that there is always something new and different every day, from talking to clients or a hearing in court, to mediating a case. She loves that each part of her day requires problem-solving and figuring out challenges.
If there were one myth about personal injury lawyers that Hannah could address, it would be that personal injury lawyers do not care about their clients. Personal injury lawyers want fairness and justice for their clients’ injuries. From their everyday practice itself, including keeping clients informed and seeing how we can meet their needs, it is evident that we care for those we work for!
Hannah’s personal expertise stems from her Iranian American background, as she always has sought out new experiences and immersions in other cultures and communities. She adept at empathizing and connecting with people of all different backgrounds and perspectives. This serves her well when working with opposing counsel, presenting a case before a jury, or communicating with her clients.
When Hannah is not working, she loves to hike around the North Georgia Mountains or visit the Chattahoochee River. She also loves to go to art and food festivals around Atlanta, bike the Silver Comet Trail, trying different Thai, Indian, and Ethiopian restaurants!

I can’t say enough great things about Haug Law Group. After my accident, I was hurt, depressed, and frustrated. Karla and Billy were very professional, kind, and extremely helpful through my treatment, next steps, and to the resolution of my case. They communicated very well, checked in to see how I was doing, and I always knew the status of my case. They both brought their 100% for me, and I’m certain they do the same with all of their clients. If I ever needed assistance such as this again, I wouldn’t call anyone else. Thank you guys for all you have done. You made the resolution of a terrible situation bearable, and even pleasant!! You two were wonderful to work with!
